SEATTLE – (April 6, 2011) – Coastal Hotel Group, a privately held Seattle-based hospitality management company, continues to build upon a commitment to operating its collection of hotels and resorts efficiently, with websites powered with 100 percent renewable energy.

Desert Compusulting, Coastal Hotel Group’s web developer and hosting provider, has teamed up with Datapipe for service and support. Datapipe recently announced all of its U.S. based data centers are now powered by 100 percent renewable energy, making it one of only 13 IT companies nationwide to be a member of the EPA’s Green Power Leadership Club.

“It is important to have partners like Desert Compusulting and Datapipe, who share our commitment to sustainability, efficiency and waste reduction,” said Yogi Hutsen, president and CEO of Coastal Hotel Group. “Finding ways to be more environmentally friendly in all of our departments, from hotel operations and cleaning solutions to guest amenities and sourcing products for our restaurants, is a core value.”

One of Coastal Hotel Group’s most popular promotions is the Go Green package, which rewards guests with a savings of 20 percent off best available rates when they reduce their carbon footprint by using paperless check-in, limiting housekeeping services to daily trash removal, and for longer stays, replacing linens and bath amenities on every fourth day.

Earlier this year, a Coastal Hotel Group restaurant in Seattle, Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge, was recognized as a 2011 Top 10 New Restaurant in the U.S. by Gayot for its farm-to-table cuisine and commitment to locally sourced ingredients. The theme for the 2011 Top 10 New Restaurant awards was “local,” from restaurant ingredients to menus and interiors.
