...everything was perfectly executed...
April 05, 2010
This place has it all! Our friends and I came in last week and had an amazing dinner. They have a simple menu due to a fire in the kitchen but everything was perfectly executed. I'm still talking about the Salmon dish which was perfectly cooked...
The service is elegant and never rushed.

Seemed like they only had about 6 or 7 entrees to choose from on the menu. I think though I'd rather have that than a restaurant with a big menu of 50 items and then they cant get any of them right. The Lodge always seems to deliver food wise. The service is elegant and never rushed. A good mid-town find.
Executive Chef Ryan Clark worked magic...

Despite fire, Awesome personal service! Yesterday, arson in the kitchen caused closure of the restaurant. However, tonight, Executive Chef Ryan Clark worked magic out of a kitchen trailer. At 10 pm, he and bartender Kurt gave me a tour of the pristine temporary kitchen. They provided fabulous hospitality to this out-of-town hotel guest. 5-Stars for their great attitude, professionalism, ingenuity, and dedication to continuing to provide food & beverage service.
"If you love cozy, charming places, this is definitely the place for you! Loved the rooms! Very spacious! The beds were very comfortable! The staff was courteous and helpful. The restaurant at the lodge had excellent service and food!"
"I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The service was fine, the grounds were beautiful and the room was very comfortable. I really liked the location, was close and yet not so to just about everything. The fact that it is small and not so busy was very relaxing."
"The Lodge on the Desert is so quaint and charming... Beehive fireplaces, charming courtyard, and delightful decor make for a trip back in time."
"The hotel was centrally located and very comfortable. Lots of green grass which you don't see a lot of in Tucson. The staff was awesome!"

"If you love traditional and regional architecture this will delight. The rooms are very spacious (ours was about 15 x 26 for the main room plus a dressing area, large walk-in closet, and bathroom with separate shower stall and tub). Appointments include luxury, top-of-the line mattresses, comfortable seating, gas-fire, and the usual amenities. We dined twice at the hotel restaurant and felt that the service and food were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful."
"The grounds were beautiful and well kept. I felt as though we had gone back in time at this little hotel. The staff were gracious and more than willing to accommodate..."
"The deluxe double casita was by far one of the nicest rooms we enjoyed during our visit to Arizona. The room was large and very clean. The beds and pillows were too comfortable for words. The ample sitting area and gas fireplace added the right amount of comfort and warmth. The grounds were manicured to perfection."
"The chef serves amazing food, creative and very fresh, for three meals a day. the outdoor patios and fireplaces make perfect places to sit and chat into the night after a day out exploring the desert."
