Now, here’s what you really need to know (and won’t find on the above website!)
Lodge on the Desert is less than one mile from the tennis center! You can even walk it! It’s an historic yet contemporary upscale (but not luxury) mid-town accommodation option… equally near to tennis AND non-tennis action alike!
Of course, it’s convenient for why you’re primarily here! And it’s the type of lovely family destination befitting to a festive season in between holidays. Lodge on the Desert’s property layout more resembles a cocoon-like village vs. hotel grounds. Here the family can enjoy five acres of lush lawns and indigenous desert landscape; outdoor venues including the crystal clear, crisp pool – with whirlpool spa and toasty fireplace for cooler December evenings. There’s dining indoors or out on the restaurant’s secluded patio. You can… day or night… thanks to yet another grand outdoor fireplace!
Simply go and be quiet in the Lodge library. Escape. Read. Or gather with family members before venturing away for a tough day’s competition.
Non-tennis playing family members can play an impromptu game of croquet on one of the lawn areas… when time permits.
You can even schedule an in-guest room massage (choose from five styles), express manicure or pedicure if you desire!
Yes, staying at Lodge on the Desert during the Championships is a treat for the entire family. Perhaps in addition to or instead of a trophy, you’ll return home with cherished memories of your time together.
